Assume that you install smartnode on your VPS via bash installer
Login to your VPS console and run below command
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hoangton/smartnode/master/usmartnodeprivkey.sh
chmod +x usmartnodeprivkey.sh
bash ./usmartnodeprivkey.sh
input your new smartnodeprivkey and press Enter
